Okay, I've seen a lot of Omnia i8000 users who used Tomtom Navigator 8 to work on their PDAs and most of them were having problems. I tried it with my Omnia i8000 and here is what I can say. First, Omnia i8000 is not on its compatible deivces -- only i900 was listed there so it could really take some modifications with your device.

Camera Problem Again
After fixing the problem of my omnia 2 regarding its camera issue, now I am back facing the same problem. I don't what Samsung is doing about this issue but this is really getting irritating. Of all the good apples out there I got the rotten one. I'll try to find the solution and post it here.

Touch Shell
This is one hell of an application and it was installed properly and it worked with Omnia 2 as well. but it has some bugs (dunno if it is phone related). You can try and maybe it will work properly, I heard there are a few people who are really satisfied about this product. The only thing is, it is still on its Beta version but still it looks very promising. Goes well with Touch Themes (that's a different story).

My Omnia's Out of the Hospital!
At long last. My Omnia 2 is out of the service center. The upgrade firmware that pop-outs whenever I use the camera is gone for good. At first, they thought it was a software issue so I told them to look carefully coz I found the same issues in the internet and the only solution is to replace a chip or something in order for the camera to work. And when I got it, they told me that they have replaced a chip inside.
I checked if it is working in every possible situation and found the camera working great. Yes, I love my Omnia 2 once again.

Anyways, I still love my Omnia 2 and as proof I am making a new blog for images I took using my other digicam and including from Omnia 2. I'll get back my Omnia probably next week - Monday or Tuesday. Yes, that is how slow the service is in Samsung - Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.

Omnia 2: Please Update Camera Firmware
Before I upgraded my Omnia 2's OS to WM6.5, I am already having problems with my Omnia 2's camera. The error was "Camera Sensor not detected' I think - I already forgot. I thought after it was updated to WM6.5 it will be fixed but I was wrong.
After installing the WM6.5 update the error changed to - Please Update Camera Firmware.
So have you encountered this, if you did and you have solved it please let me know. I will do the same thing as soon as I solved this issue on my Omnia as well. Thank you very much.
UPDATE: (March 1, 2011) - I have searched all over the internet for the best solution for this and sadly there is no other way but to bring your device to Samsung Service Centers. If you are in Saudi Arabia, you'll find the service centers on the link).

Carnival Land Review
Gameloft's Carnival Land is one game you must try if you are an arcade lover. I remember going to arcade shops and wondering how those thing work or how they are played. I thought it could be more fun if I knew how to play them before I put my token and actually play it. Now, I know how to play those games but I think I'll stick with this game.

Samsung Service Centers in Saudi Arabia
Since I am located in Saudi Arabia, I'd like to help all those poor lost souls in case they have problems with their Samsung mobiles. I hope this helps everyone, most specially people living in Saudi Arabia. I'll try to re-arrange this sometime. It is quite a mess since I just copied and paste it here.

I took and grab this entry out of my other blog since this post is more related to this blog. Sony Ericssons Xperia 2's packed game Experiment 13 was ripped-off and is now playable to other Windows Mobile phones. Games That Work!
Here are the games that worked and how I rated each.
Cool Games - highest obtainable rank
Experiment 13 - Is a puzzle game. You have to help the main character to go out of each maze by jumping, rotating the environment. A very entertaining game, try it.
Carnival Land - another addictive game with lots of mini-games.
Okay Games - acceptable
Collapse Chaos
Scrabble
Ferrari GT - After playing the IPhone version I felt disappointed playing this without the G-Sensor option.
Crayon Physics - it's a cool concepts but I don't feel entertained at all.
Not Cool Games - do I need to explain more?
Hero of Sparta - boring.
Scrobble v1.1 - not like Scrabble
Prison Tycoon - boring.
Not Yet Played But Worked!
Prince of Persia 2.0
Tiki Towers
Next will be reviews.

Omnia 2: Changing Language
If your phone came with a different language pack that you don't speak, of course you will wonder "How the hell am I going to change its language?". I got the same problem when I first got my phone. Here is a quick help.
Enjoy your new Omnia 2.
Helpful images:
- Press the cube.
- Press the settings (cog like button, check helpful images below.)
- Look for a puzzle like button on the menu and press it, it is the "General Settings".
- At the bottom menu, you will see "Samsung TouchWiz UI" - it's not it. Choose above it, it is the language setting. There are three choices there - Local language, English, English + Local Language Input. Choose the middle one. It should show an english message confirming your selection, choose "YES".
Enjoy your new Omnia 2.
